This volume, sumptuously illustrated, takes the reader through an exploration of the eight festivals, or “Sabbats” from the history and mythology surrounding them, through to examples of their celebration, the traditional dress of the home and ritual ceremony.
The book is designed to be accessible and inclusive, serving as a practical guide to various traditions which will enable the reader and the family to explore the Wheel of the Year and to immerse themselves in old wisdom.

Anthropologists call it liminality. Jung called it the temenos. The Golden Dawn placed the candidate at the door of the temple, blindfolded and between worlds. Crowley named an entire grade Dominus Liminis and warned that this position would be tested often.
The discomfort at the threshold is the work, not an obstacle to it. Standing still at the door is itself a magickal act.
