Edward O'Toole
Edward is an intriguing and deeply versatile author, artist, and practitioner of self-reliance and the occult. Born in Chester, England, he then travelled extensively – spending time in Israel, Portugal, Morocco and Switzerland. For almost three decades he's lived in Slovakia - splitting time between the modern world and a remote Ruthenian village in the Carpathian Mountains - embracing traditional living skills, nature, and cultural folklore.
Edward’s body of work spans a wide range of genres, unified by survivalism, mythology, esotericism, and mysticism. He is active in painting - especially oil on canvas and animal hides, has authored articles, written several books, made videos, and promotes bushcraft, paranormal research, and personal gnosis.
Edward describes himself as a sub-cultural anthropologist passionate about understanding both external environments and inner self, merging traditional skills with esoteric exploration, and thriving through knowledge, resilience, and personal growth.
